Temp related - would suspicion an o2 code, or a 44/45.
I need some details on your DIS. I suspect you'll need the same settings that the 2.8/3.1 DIS over here uses. That's just a guess, without details.
Also, if you have a link to the Max-232 mod, that might help.
if I remember right, your Aussie 160 baud had a 12v interface. Our ALDL cables convert from 5v ECM to +/-12, so I'm kinda wondering what you guys are running for cables, and how stuff is hooked up.
I don't see anything that would keep the thing from working. You should see a periodic "heartbeat" on the data line. F0 55 XX, or something similar. If that's happening, I'd suspect the problem lies in the cabling someplace.
It'd be interesting to see if this works, since it would imply that a '165 would be workable, too.
If it's running, we're pretty close. (Unless it were running on backup, but it doesn't sound like it is)
I don't have an '808 handy, or I'd plug it into the bench.
