Assembly? that's what you do with kit furniture right? :-P

I can help with schematics and hardware testing, but unfortunately I know no assembler. I will however ask for help from a few guys in the aussie 808 scene and see if we can find someone who can help out.

I looked this over a bit last night... it might not be all that bad.

The only things that need immediate attention are the TX enable, and the ESC line, which hangs off that mux.

I'll see what I can hammer out.

Regarding the 1604606 (UART) that you guys don't have...

Which pins are those wires running to, specifically?

Also, if you have a scope/voltmeter handy, can you see what, if any, activity is on that TX enable line?

I can flip that line either way, and fix the ESC line that's messed up, but I'm not entirely sure that's the only issues we'd have.

you guys have been busy sammy said there had been activity I musnt have email alerts turned on.im only just learning assembler for a little project i have going on so may not be much help still learning brain hurts but ill get the hang of it.as for the wires do you want to know what colour is TX and RX on the max232 pins or at the ecu.anyone know of a replacement uart to suit the 808 board and where to get one.

I'm looking for what pins are wired to on the board.

Also, if one of you guys running it on an 808 can post your bin, I can try a couple quickie things.

this is the bin i used to get it SORTA running ....

its basically the starter bin modified to run on my motor, also changed the spark and fuel and so forth to get it idling a bit better

Dig,

VL400 is the guy I asked if he would be able to help. He knows the $12 pin mappings pretty well if you need a hand

As far as the UART goes, its exactly the same from 165/749 with the exception of the txenable pin. Don't worry about the missing UART on aussie 808s as we have ways around it - some aussie ecus are like surface mount 165s and guys like VL400 make 8192 baud conversion kits.

hi all one more oz guy wanting to get the most out of a 808
sorry to say but i cant help much as ma just getting in to it all
but i will keep checking back to see how its all going
