Code 59 Tech Session Powerpoint slides 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 6
Paul, Jeff and myself recently gave a "tech session" presentation of some code59 basics. The links below will get you a copy of the slides. (In MS Powerpoint- we're working on getting these converted into web-based documentation)

The "101" is a basic overview, focusing more on Tunerpro and basic concepts.
The "201" touches on a few "theory-behind-the-tables" items, and a bit more details.

If you have questions regarding these, feel free to fire away.

Big Thanks to Paul and Jeff for their work in getting these ready in what amounted to 2-3 days.

Nice!

Even If I have used tunerpro and $59 for some time now I got some "heads up".

Very cool.

So this was used at the Sy/Ty Nats a couple weeks ago?

Just curious why there was no mention of the needed 3 BAR MAP sensor? I figured that would have ben in 101 under required items.

It'll be nice to point people that have questions or are interested in $59 to these two presentations, very nice and easy to follow. Although I didn't get any answers when I asked questions at the question slides. LOL

Any plans for a 103?

I thought it was in there... we changed these suckers so many times in a 24 hr period that it's hard to remember what we did when.

I suspect we'll do 300-level as we go along... these would likely be more topical, one area or section at a time. Trying to do an in-depth of everything would be like 200 pages long.

Later,

My question is: If you are starting from scratch, what is the best procedure for tuning. I have a base tune that was close, but I changed injectors and now it isn't that great. I have run autotune a bunch of times, but it keeps getting farther and farther off. So I am interested in tuning from scratch, unless there is an unpublished bin that is close to my setup. My setup is

TE44
1.6 rockers
MSD
3 bar
50# injectors
UR6
water to air (with extra heat exchanger and bigger pump)
stock heads,cam and converter

I have read most of this site as well as syty.net. So far I understand a lot of what the different tables do and how they work, but I don't know where to start. I apologize if I have missed a post or thread that covers this.

Thanks in advance
